Summary
On March 18, we shipped an update to the Maven chat widget to add real-time typing indicators for Salesforce Messaging (MIAW) handoff sessions. This release contained a bug in the typing indicator code that disrupted the live agent chat experience for affected users. We identified the issue and deployed a hotfix earlier today.
What we have staged to prevent this in the future
Alerts and monitors are being added to detect issues in our observability stack immediately so we can respond before customers are impacted.
